FUN FACTS

This is how the proposal went down. 

The scene: Dinner plans with Karla Bopp (Matt's sister) which went awesome! 

After dinner, Karla suggested we visit "that crazy Halloween house" that her friends own. The theme was Beetlejuice, so naturally, I said yes. 

It was amazing, with such detail and special touches—some that only fans of the movie could appreciate. As I'm enjoying the spectacle, some *weirdo* in a mask puts his hand on my shoulder and starts trying to give me a hand full of weeds.

Awkwardly, I shoved them back at him and told him no thanks, but he kept going and blurted out, "It's Showtime!" As I was cringing and looking around for Karla, suddenly the weirdo is down on one knee, and I immediately figured out that it was Matt, and started squealing loudly with joy.

He handed me his grandmother's stunning heirloom ring, and asked me to spend the rest of eternity with him. 

I ripped off his mask and screamed, "Yes!"

Best. Halloween. Proposal. EVER!

For the record, the "weeds" were the most beautiful and interesting bouquet of flowers.
